In this demo video you will see one of our tanks that sat unused for 6 weeks with no cattle on it. The producer had decided he wanted to change from a stationary system to a portable unit, so switched pastures and left the tank for over six weeks. He pumped the tank out when the cattle left but forgot to turn the Sundog Solar pumping system off so the tank was full when we arrived to move it out. This tank sat for over 6 weeks with water in it, and had only a 3" layer of ice formed on the drink tube. We were able to break that ice out easily, and the water was free underneath. This was over a 6 week period which ended on January 26, when we picked up the tank. In that time frame we had experienced -30 degrees temperatures which higher than expected wind chills.
